Cold Aston Village Fayre

Saturday, 1st August
"One Of The Best Village Fayres In The Cotswolds"
As usual, there is always a large variety of stalls and attractions with fun for all the family. Proceeds go to the village church, village activities and local charities.
When Cold Aston Fayre was first started over 30 years ago, it was organised by the church as a way of augmenting funds. Over the years the Fayre has contributed to the renewal of the chancel and porch roofs and the refurbishment of the five bells. There is so much in the church to interest every visitor and we encourage people to spend some time there, where they can appreciate the wonderful and rich history of our beautiful Saxon, Norman and Tudor church.
We are holding the after party at the pub from 7:30pm onwards, £10/adult, £5/kid for food at the after party. Tickets on sale until 31st July

Cheltenham Festival

11th - 14th March 2014
"A true sporting high"
The Festival is the embodiment of everything that is great about Cheltenham. It is four days of atmosphere, anticipation and action, played out on a beautiful sporting arena that has no equal.
It features the best and the bravest horses and jockeys, nervous and excited trainers and owners, and a wide cast of human characters who come together every year determined to have the time of their lives. For racing's practitioners, Festival glory provides lifelong memories that will never fade and defines careers. Witness the sheer elation of winning connections as they return to the cheers of the crowd and you are seeing dreams fulfilled and years of planning and effort coming to fruition.
The Festival is one of those rare events that engages everyone who comes into contact with it, never failing to produce award-winning drama, enjoyment, camaraderie and sporting excellence in a cocktail for which no hangover cure is required. It truly is a life affirming four days.

Badminton Horse Trials

The Badminton Horse Trials is a three-day event, one of only six annual Concours Complet International (CCI) Four Star **** events as classified by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), which takes place in April or May each year in the park of Badminton House, the seat of the Duke of Beaufort in Gloucestershire, England.

Giffords Circus

2014 dates tbc
"Fill charmed summer days & starry nights with your musical magical village green circus"
Toti and Nell Gifford started Giffords Circus in 2000. Their vision was of a miniature village green circus, packed, rowdy, glamorous - birds and horses and motorbikes bursting from a fluttering white tent - a show for rural families, farmers and filmstars. Since 2000 the Giffords Circus company of painted wagons has toured the rural Southwest, moving every week, and entertained over 250,000 people.
